Overview
The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Unit at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) is a tertiary referral center dedicated to the comprehensive care of ocular disorders in children and the management of strabismus across all age groups.
As part of a leading national ophthalmic institute, the unit provides integrated clinical, surgical, and research services, with particular emphasis on early diagnosis, prevention of amblyopia, and management of complex ocular motility disorders.
The unit handles a wide spectrum of conditions including pediatric refractive errors, amblyopia, congenital and developmental ocular anomalies, paralytic and restrictive strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmic disorders affecting ocular alignment.
