Overview
Support for research projects and scientific manuscripts provided by the Medical Biostatistics Unit
includes study design, sample size determination, data management, statistical analysis,
interpretation of results, and manuscript preparation. Such contributions constitute scientific
collaboration and shall be recognized through authorship in accordance with internationally
accepted authorship criteria.
Vision
To advance eye health and prevent visual impairment through excellence in public health research,
surveillance, and data-driven practice.
Mission
To improve population eye health through epidemiological research, biostatistical analysis,
community-based studies, and health information systems that support prevention, healthcare
improvement, and informed decision-making.
