- Biophysics Unit is an academic research unique unit in the Middle East region. Application of Biophysical concepts and tools in the field of ophthalmology is interesting discipline.
Vision
To establish a state-of-the-art biophysical unit that advances
precision ophthalmology through innovative diagnostic
technologies, quantitative analysis, and translational research—
enhancing early detection, personalized treatment, and
prevention of eye diseases.
Mission
The unit, the Biophysics and Laser Science, applies biophysics
tools for a better understanding of ocular diseases, fortified
with nanomedicine concepts — an interesting, exciting, and
promising field of research.

Structural and conformational characterizations,
Nanomedicine, drug delivery, Liposomes and solid-
nanoparticles.
Equipment
The unit is well equipped with spectroscopic instruments: UV-
Visible, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, Steady state
