Overview
The Investigation and Radiology Unit provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services using
advanced, non-invasive radiological techniques to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
The unit is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective diagnostic services to the Egyptian
population while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
In addition to its clinical role, the unit actively supports research in diagnostic imaging, with a primary
focus on non-invasive radiology. It also aims to expand its contributions to interventional radiology
research by adopting modern imaging technologies and collaborating in multidisciplinary clinical and
scientific studies.
Vision
To be a leading center of excellence in diagnostic imaging and radiological research, recognized
nationally and internationally for innovation, accuracy, and quality in patient care. The
Investigation and Radiology Unit aspires to advance healthcare through state-of-the-art imaging
technologies, pioneering research, continuous education, and multidisciplinary collaboration,
while contributing to improved health outcomes and becoming a regional reference center in
Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East.
Mission
The mission of the Investigation and Radiology Unit is to provide accurate, high-quality, and cost-
effective diagnostic imaging services that support clinical decision-making and improve patient care.
The unit is committed to utilizing advanced radiological technologies and evidence-based practices to
ensure timely and reliable diagnosis.
The unit also strives to advance radiology research through innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration,
and the development of non-invasive and interventional imaging techniques. By promoting education,
professional training, and community awareness, the unit aims to improve public health, enhance the
quality of life of the Egyptian population, and establish itself as a center of excellence in radiology
research in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East.
Projects
Techniques
The Investigation and Radiology Unit employs advanced imaging technologies to provide accurate
diagnosis and support clinical management. Key techniques include:
- Plain X-ray examinations of the head, paranasal sinuses, chest, spine, abdomen, pelvis, upper
and lower limbs, and various joints. - Abdominal ultrasonography for evaluation of abdominal organs and related conditions.
- Neck and thyroid ultrasonography for assessment of thyroid and cervical disorders.
- Arterial and venous Doppler ultrasonography for evaluation of vascular diseases and blood flow.
- Non-invasive diagnostic imaging for a wide range of medical conditions.
- Digital image acquisition, interpretation, and reporting using modern radiological systems.
