(2022 - 2025)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7981\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7981\"><div>Visual impairment and blindness are global issues, leading to a significant financial and medical burden. Diabetic retinopathy, corneal ulcer and glaucoma are among the most important causes of visual impairment and blindness. Many pharmacological, interventional, and surgical treatments exist for these diseases, exosomes stand out as one among the newest possible therapeutic agents.<\/div><div>It is believed that exosomes may have the same biological functions and effects similar to their cells of origin with less biohazardous potential and cytotoxicity. In contrast to the mesenchymal stem cells, their derived exosomes do not cause vitreous opacity, immunologic rejection, or proliferative vitreous retinopathy. (2022 - 2025)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7982\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7982\"><p>Diabetic retinopathy (DR) has traditionally been viewed as a vascular disease, but is now considered a neurodegenerative disease with neurodegenerative changes happening before endothelial damage. Persistent hyperglycemia leads to dysfunction and loss of endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells, causing retinal hypoxia that drives upregulation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), resulting in increased vascular permeability and ultimately visual loss. Neurodegeneration with neuronal apoptosis and glial reactivity occurs before endothelial alterations are observed. Tight glycemic control remains the main preventative treatment, but cell-based therapies using mesenchymal stem cells and neural stem cells show promise in preventing neurovascular damage and promoting regeneration in DR. With conducting laboratory tests to measure <em>Fasting &amp; P.P. Blood glucose level<\/em>, <em>Total lipid profile<\/em>, measuring kidney function, Glycated hemoglobin, special laboratory tests to predict the occurrence of diseases of the retina for a diabetic.<\/li>\n \t<li>A polyclinic for diabetics (multidisciplinary) has been set up and provides full ophthalmologic examination, medical and genetics, as well as analyzes necessary medical and fundus fluorescein angiography , periodic follow-up, analysis and treatment to make sure to adjust the dose therapy and early intervention in case of any complications.<\/li>\n \t<li>Also provides the place to turn to diabetics to receive appropriate care, which includes periodic follow-up for the eyes to reduce the risk of this disease in order to combat one of the most important causes of blindness.
